Wing Struts

The original wing struts on Piper Vagabonds are subject to an AD requiring annual internal inspection (for corrosion) and crack testing of the end fittings.

Many Vagabonds (including G-AWOF) have been fitted with new sealed wing struts with large end fittings, and these do not need the annual inspection..
